We all have different reasons why we want to take voice lessons. Maybe you have been singing for a while and now you want to put yourself out there for an audition. Maybe you're just curious of what your voice can do. Maybe you think you are a good singer, but struggle with how to use certain vocal techniques. Well you have come to the right place to begin. There is so much to explore in the world of music. Now let's get started.
Choose from the lesson types below and you will be taken to an intake form for you to fill out. Once you fill out the form, you will receive further instructions and information about next steps. Prices and skill levels vary.
Online Lessons
This is for all students, who are taking 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour lessons, for the whole term. Although lessons are done online, the world of music is not restricted to one place. The world of music pushes through computer screens, ready to open your perspective of music, but you have to be prepared and open to learning new challenges.
In-Person Lessons
In person lessons are done at your home for 45 or 1 hour lessons, for the whole term. Your entrance way will have to be handicap accessible for me to teach at your home. If you would like to have a lesson at your home, please contact me, and I will notify you if teaching at your home is a possibility. If I am unable to teach at your home, then we will only have online lessons.
Audition Prep
Audition Prep is for a shorter term for 45 minutes or an hour lesson. This prep includes 7 lessons, before the audition day. You are welcome to sign up for more, after the audition. Those who have a vocal skill level of intermediate to advanced, as well as having a general understanding of musical theory should sign up for Audition Prep. Students who are beginners or have a limited experience of auditions, should sign up for regular lessons, as this will be more fast- paced, more in depth, with intensive training. We will work on the music for the audition, I will help you find the right song for the audition and create a personalized lesson to help you be prepared for your audition, as well as improving stage presence. Groups of 2 or more can also sign up to work on harmonies, stage presence, & learning how to work together.
Group Sessions
This is for students who are in a group of two or more. This applies to regular lessons. You will learn how to improve your vocal skills as you learn to merge your vocal parts into a harmonious sound. For assistance with preparing for an audition for a group, go to Audition Prep for more information.
Meet a king, who sings...
Ms. King has been a private vocal instructor/coach for 13 years She first started singing at 3 years old, finding every opportunity to be involved in any music-related activity, whether that was chorus in her academic institutions over the years, church, and community services. She graduated with a B.S. in Music Management at GSU. She has been a featured vocalist at her church, winner of vocal competitions, sung for previous government leaders of Georgia, and various charity events, as well as sporting events for the Falcons and Gwinnett Braves, and so much more. Not only did she fall in love with music at an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for music as an art form and learned to embrace it's challenges to promote growth, which is what she tries to pass on to her students, as they learn to develop skills pertaining to music and personhood to enhance their development as a singer and a musician. Over the years she has provided a space for her students to discover their vocal potential by singing various genres, such as musical theater, pop, christian, jazz, and other genres. For her, music is not limited to a specific genre. She strives to not only teach her students to love music & improve their vocal and musical skills by helping them reach their potential, but to appreciate music, in itself, as well. She looks forward to helping your child shine like a royal.
